COVID has changed everything about our Parkinson's Support Group.  In order to stay connected, we have resorted to more virtual interaction.  In January, we won't have access to the Beach Chamber 1/14/21.  Our 2nd annual Parkinson's Wellness Expo has gone totally virtual on 1/21/21.   So, our January 2nd Tuesday Parkinson's Support Group meeting on 1/14/21 will be totally virtual, to prepare for our totally virtual "Stronger Together" seminar Thursday, 1/21/21.  I don't want you to miss our panel of 8 esteemed Physicians from across the country and into Canada discussing matters regarding "Living Your Best Life with PD!!"

Members of our 2nd Tuesday Parkinson's Support Group frequently refer to the Senior Helpers' Parkinson's Care Program strategies for motor and non-motor symptoms of PD.   Our best meetings have been when we sit around the table and discuss matters that no one understands - until they have a family member or friend living with Parkinson's disease.

Our meetings are free, open to the public.   Every month we have a guest speaker who provides Parkinson's-specific information about resources, research, strategies, techniques, activities, medications, and more.  Before the guest speakers begins, we have a "meet and greet" getting to know our attendendees and discuss life experiences with PD or concerns about living with Parkinson's disease. There is plenty of time after the presentation to ask questions, talk about common interests, concerns, and challenges.  Throughout the meeting we socialize, share ideas, help each other solve problems, and show support for each other in the process.
