About the Event
Our 2nd Tuesday Parkinson's Support Group has been meeting every month since April 2017 (except 10/10/18 when hurricane Michael hit Panama City). Our meetings are free, open to the public, and refreshments are provided.
In June, we will be discussing "The Importance of Movement and Exercise for people living with Parkinson's disease." Many of the people who attend our 2nd Tuesday Parkinson's Support Group belong to our local Rock Steady Boxing affiliate - 850 Strong Rock Steady Boxing in Panama City, FL. Our Fighters understand the importance of movement and exercise for PD and have been missing their non-contact boxing-style fitness training. They were fighting back against Parkinson's disease until COVID 19 forced us to close in March. Our Fighters want to return to the gym as soon as possible, but many still do not feel safe enough to leave the safety of their homes and risk becoming infected by…
