About the Event
When a person hears that his / her loved one is living with Dementia, Carepartner reactions range from denial, anger, fear, and helplessness.  Doctors diagnose Dementia but don't always have the answer to the question, "What do I do now?"  The Bay County Council on Aging offers a  2nd Friday "Caring and Sharing" caregiver meeting on the 2nd Friday of every month for Caregivers to discuss the challenges of loving a person through the stages of dementia and to get ideas from each other about "what works" and "what doesn't work" - with information, answers, and support. Â
You are not alone!!
Meetings are free and open to the public. Â Free "Senior GEMS - A Guide for Families living with Dementia" DVDs are available from Senior Helpers of Panama City, call 850.215.1793.Â
