About the Event
Dr. Tara Kimbason, Neurologist / Movement Specialist with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital will talk with us about Apokyn
“A non-ergoline dopamine agonist indicated for the acute, intermittent treatment of hypomobility, “off” episodes associated with advanced Parkinson’s disease.”
Our Parkinson's Support Group has been meeting once a month since April 2017 - except the day hurricane Michael hit Panama City 10/10/19. Our meetings are free, open to the public, and refreshments are provided by The Blake at Panama City Beach. Every month we have a guest speaker who provides information about resources, research, exercise programs, medications, and more.
People who are living with Parkinson's disease discuss common challenges that they face every day. We offer solutions using the Parkinson’s Care Program techniques that were created by Senior Helpers which offer strategies for motor and non-motor symptoms. Free Parkinson's Care Program DVDs are available each month. If you are unable to attend but would like a free DVD, call Senior Helpers: 850.215.1793
Come join us 2/11/20 to meet Dr. Kimbason and to see for yourself the difference a support group can make in your life.
